Do you know what you want?
What do you want? Do you want to be extraordinary rich, in top shape and healthy or found a cute little family which lives in a picturesque house? Did you ask yourself this question?
Everybody has a goal in life, if not he wouldn’t be living. Studies have shown that in a couple of two older people, without family, one deceases, chances are that the remaining partner will die shortly.
Why is that? What keeps you getting up every morning? For most people it is their job. If they don’t get up, the will be late and have trouble. Did you ever have one of these days where you just stayed in bed the whole day? You didn’t have a purpose do get up.
So what is your goal? For some people it means the pursuit of a better life. For others it represents to improve their carrier. Some others seek financial freedom. This is very personal and every person has different goals. It is like a fingerprint. It makes you unique.
Why do we need goals? A goal is by definition a result which we want to achieve because we think our situation will improve after succeeding. This must not real be the case, we just have to be convinced that it is true. Goals get us going. Imagine yourself sitting in your car and not knowing where to go. I’m 100% sure you wont go anywhere.
Don’t waste your time pursuing an unimportant goal. Elaborate it! Ask yourself if you would really feel better if you would achieve it. Sometimes we just assume it will improve our situation, but after some thinking, we recognize that I wont help at all, or just momentary. Focus on what you really want. Take some time now!
In a further post I will show you how to achieve your goals easily and consistently. In the meantime you can check out Five Tips For Making Goals That Stick on sethigherstandarts.com written by Ravi Raman.
